Sai Sudharshan

Inns 15 | Runs 759 | Avg 54.21 | SR 156.17

Sai Sudharsan was the surprise package and undoubtedly the best batsman in IPL 2025. He anchored the innings and became the leading run-scorer of the season, clinching the coveted Orange Cap.

Virat Kohli

Inns 15 | Runs 657 | Avg 54.75 | SR 144.71

After an eighteen-year wait, Virat not only won the IPL title but also played a pivotal role as a batsman in the season. He continued his consistent performance in IPL 2025.

Suryakumar Yadav

Inns 16 | Runs 717 | Avg 65.18 | SR 167.92

Suryakumar came into the Indian Premier League 2025 short of runs and going through a lean patch, but the Indian T20 captain immediately showcased his prowess in the shortest format of the game and was back in form with ease.

Sky was one of the most consistent players and scored 25 runs or more in all 16 innings.

Shreyas Iyer

Inns 17 | Runs 604 | Avg 50.33 | SR 175.07

He is our team’s captain and the best captain in the 2025 IPL season by a long way.

Shreyas Iyer was drafted in as captain in the Mega auction and transformed Punjab Kings‘ fortunes with some entertaining cricket.

He single-handedly took Punjab Kings out of trouble on more than one occasion and played a pivotal role against the Mumbai Indians in the second qualifier to win the game from an almost impossible position.

Nicholas Pooran

Inns 14 | Runs 524 | Avg 43.67 | SR 196.25

Nicholas Pooran is the new six-hitting king of the Indian Premier League. The Trinidadian has been a prolific six-hitter and an ideal batsman to dominate the middle overs of the game.

The left-hander smashed at least 5 sixes in an innings on four occasions in IPL 2025.

Hardik Pandya

Bat: Inns 15 | Runs 224 | Avg 24.89 | SR 163.50

Bowl: Inns 15 | Wkts 14 | Econ 9.77 | SR 15

Though not his best IPL season, Hardik Pandya still proved why he is India’s leading all-rounder in this format.

Hardik Pandya was Mumbai Indians’ third seamer and, in most matches, bowled his entire quota of 4 overs.

Though a capable bat, his batting was not fully utilised as he played the role of a finisher for the team.

Krunal Pandya

Bat : Inns 15 | Runs 109 | Avg 18.17 | SR 126.74

Bowl: Inns 15 | Wkts 17 | Econ 8.24 | SR 16.24

Krunal Pandya was RCB’s go to man when a wicket was required or runs needed to be contained.

Krunal was not used much as a batsman but was used more as a floater whenever required. He was awarded the Player of the match in the Finals.

Noor Ahmed

Bowl: Inns 14 | Wkts 24 | Econ 8.16 | SR 12.50

The Afghan bowler was a great addition to the Chennai Super Kings team. While 2025 was the team’s worst season, Noor Ahmed proved his worth in the squad as their leading wicket-taker.

He made an instant impact on his debut, dismantling MI with excellent figures of 4/18 and then took 3/36 in the next game against a power-packed RCB batting line-up.

Jasprit Bumrah

Bowl: Inns 12 | Wkts 18 | Econ 6.67 | SR 15.77

Jasprit Bumrah, India’s premier fast bowler played his part to bring Mumbai Indians to the qualifier2 stage. He had the best economy for a bowler with 5+ overs this season.

Bumrah missed the initial few matches, which held him back from becoming the leading wicket-taker in the league

He went less than 6 runs per over in 7 games.

Prasidh Krishna

Bowl: Inns 15 | Wkts 25 | Econ 8.27 | Ave 14.16

Prasidh Krishna took the Purple Cap award and made a memorable return to the Indian Premier League this season.

He had nine hauls of two or more wickets, and eight spells at less than seven per over.

He took 11 middle-overs wickets, the most for a pacer.

Josh Hazlewood

Bowl: Inns 12 | Wkts 22 | Econ 8.77 | Ave 12

One of the reasons for RCB’s change of fortune in 2025 was the focus on quality pace bowlers. The bowling attack was led by Josh Hazlewood. He was the architect of RCB’s bowling transformation.
