Not long ago, Chennai SuperKings was the table topper and the top 3 in the tournament so far was playing musical chair for the top position.

In the last game Chennai SuperKings could have strongly cemented their place in the top.

Traditionally when Chennai SuperKings does well they tend to be the table topper to have two bites of the cherry to be in the finals. This time around their campaign has been inconsistent.

Deepak Chahar is desperately needed to give some impetuous to the bowling unit. While bowling is the weaker link, Ms Dhoni is still comfortable to handle his bowlers in the slow low surface of the Chidambaram stadium. They will be a handful against the Punjab Kings . Watch out for Shivam Dube Cameo

Punjab Kings freshly coming of a huge loss against Lucknow Suoer Giants a day before,  will be down and out . It will take some effort from captain Shikar Dhawan to motivate the team who conceded the second highest score in the Indian Premier League.

The Punjab Kings team is still confused with their batting and bowling order.

Sam Curran, the costliest player in the Indian Premier League and the man of the match in England ‘s succesful Worldcup campaign has been relegated to bat in 7th or 8th position and bowls post the 11th over.

Sam Curran is most effective when he uses the new ball. England always bowls the South paw in the powerplay where he is the most effective with his swing. Punjab Kings on the other hand is using Sam Curran in the middle overs and the later half of the innings which is not his strength.

Liam Livingstone will need to back his power hitting. Only Sikandar Raza has shown value to his selection in the playing11.

Punjab Kings batsman prefers bounce and pace on the wicket for their power hitting which will not be available in Chennai. The team will have a tough time if they do not adapt.
