Lucknow Super Giants will host Mumbai Indians for Match 63 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.

Lucknow Super Giants had an excellent game chasing against Sunrisers Hyderabad after a late order onslaught from Nicholas Pooran to take the LSG team home.

Lucknow Super Giants after some series of defeats, came back strongly to now have an eye on the top 4 position.

Even after their impressive wins Lucknow Super Giants have to win both their last two games against Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders. They are currently at 4^th position.

Mumbai Indians, on the other hand have hit a purple patch and with currently 2 games to go and with 14 points, they can target the top 2 place if they too can aim to win their last two games left against Lucknow Super Giants and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Mumbai Indians are currently at third place in the points table.

In their Last game Lucknow Super Giants were able to chase a total of 182 runs and their team batting form has been showing some good form and, in every game, there have been one or two batsman who have played out of their skins to take the team home. This is commendable after their regular captain, KL Rahul had to retire from the tournament due to an injury.

The biggest negative in the Lucknow camp is the effectiveness or lack of it in the captaincy department from Krunal Pandya. His bowling changes have not given results and in one of the games he used 8 bowlers but still managed to concede in excess of 200 in their allotted 20 overs. When the opposition is on a batting rampage, Krunal’s shoulders drop and he is found to be less flexible.

 Mumbai Indians in their last game managed to beat the table toppers Gujarat Titans, and won a topple the table in a one-sided affair. If it was not for Rashid Khan’s incredible innings Mumbai Indians could have target a win with a good net run rate which unfortunately did not happen.
