After Treating the fans with some high octane women’s cricket in the maiden Women’s Premier League – The WPL has now three Teams who will compete for the trophy 2023.

Delhi sits pretty at the top of the table and will directly play the finals and will await the winners from the eliminator. The eliminator will see Mumbai Indians and the UP Warriorz up against each other on the 24^th March, DY Patil Stadium

In the last group stage game, Delhi v/s UP Warriorz became a must win game for Delhi after Mumbai Indians sailed through their last group game against the Royal Challengers.

The tired pitch of DY Patil stadium is no more the 160 plus ground and we have witnessed low scoring games in the evening games lately.   The last few games have seen that the team batting second is able to chase the targets easily as the dew makes defending difficult.

Power play scores have considerably come down and teams batting first will now try to preserve their wickets initially and take on the bowling in the middle overs of the game.

Both teams have good in-form batters in the line-up and slow bowlers will be very effective after the initial few overs. What has changed from the initial phase of the tournament is the pitch is showing signs of turn and bounce. Leg spinners and wrist spinners will have a say in the game.

UP Warriorz have been hot and cold in the tournament and if its their day on Friday then Mumbai Indians will have their plates full. UP Warriorz have had easy wins and disastrous losses and the team over relies on their foreign players. While Alyssa Healy and Tahlia Mc Grath along with Grace Harris holds the batting, Sophia Eccelstone has been an inspiration in   her role as a finisher and the leader of the spin attack. One areas of concern has been the form of Deepti Sharma and while she is ticking the right boxes, her contributions are not making a dent.

While Mumbai comes into the Eliminator after a win against RCB ,  UP Warriorz had a bad loss in their last match against Delhi Capitals.

Bowling is a concern for the UP Warriorz and the team is struggling to take wickets from their regular bowlers.

Kiran Navgire and other Indian Batters have been inconsistent and needs to step up. UP Warriorz have lost matches when they have rested Grace Harris which shows how dependent the team is on the Australian, Shabnam Ismail will miss out in the playing eleven.
