Sachin to Rohit, Cricket fraternity pays tribute to Ratan Tata

Ratan Tata, chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, dies at 86 in Mumbai hospital

Ratan Tata said on Monday that he was undergoing a routine medical investigation due to his age and related medical conditions.

 

He was undergoing treatment in critical condition and was in intensive care in the hospital for the past few days

After the news of the death of renowned industrialist Ratan Tata was reported, Condolence messages started to pour in from all over the globe.

Cricket Fraternity, too, has paid tribute to India’s Bharat Ratna and took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to pay their respects.

Indian National Team head coach wrote in X, “ A True Gem of Mother India”.

Sachin Tendulkar wrote in his X account– “In his life, and demise, Mr Ratan Tata has moved the nation. I was fortunate to spend time with him, but millions, who have never met him, feel the same grief that I feel today. Such is his impact. From his love for animals to philanthropy, he showed that true progress can only be achieved when we care for those who don’t have the means to take care of themselves. Rest in peace, Mr Tata. Your legacy will continue to live through the institutions you built and values that you embraced”.

Indian team Captain Rohit Sharma wrote “A man with a heart of gold. Sir, you will forever be remembered as someone who truly cared and lived his life to make everyone else’s better”.

Indian Team T20 Captain, Suryakumar Yadav wrote- “End of an era. The epitome of kindness, most inspirational, marvel of a man. Sir, you have touched so many hearts. Your life has been a blessing to the nation. Thank you for your endless and unconditional service. Your legacy will live on. Rest in glory, sir”.

Indian speedster Mohammed Shami who is recovering from an injury also paid his respects to the National Icon “Ratan Tata sir, you dedicated your entire life to the progress of our nation. Your humility, vision, and compassion will forever inspire us. Rest in peace.”
