Gujarat Titans should be lucky to have won this game to avoid back-to-back losses. Mumbai Indians had a match to forget in the last game with 214 runs posted by Punjab Kings. The bowling of Mumbai Indians was badly exposed and a day to forget for Arjun Tendulkar who bowled the second most expensive over of the Indian Premier League for Mumbai Indians. The flaws of poor choices in the auction are now haunting the Mumbai Indians. Their 8 cr investment on Jofra Archer is turning out to be a disappointment and has become their biggest concern. Jofra Archer was in the playing eleven against Punjab Kings and looked out of sync. He went for 10 run average with 1 wicket in his 4 overs. Reputation aside, Jofra Archer need to perform to justify his place in the side as he looked out of form. He currently looks just a shadow of his past.  Arjun Tendulkar looks a very average bowler and questions will be asked on his selection in the playing eleven. Though he did bowl a good last over against Sunrisers Hyderabad defending 20 runs, he was against the tail enders. He was taken to the cleaners against Punjab Kings when more established batsmen faced his slow medium bowling.

While skills can be improved with every game in a competition like this, it is still a professional franchise Sport and you need to learn your skills beforehand and be worthy enough to play the tough game. No player can hide behind the excuse of “Learning “ .

Mumbai Indians should play their bench bowlers and get an extra spinner into the eleven. On the positive side, Mumbai Indians will be happy to see the return of form of Suryakumar Yadav who played brilliantly and he along with Cameroon Green and Rohit Sharma made a game of the high scoring chase. Mumbai Indians lost wickets in crucial phase of the game which built pressure on the middle order who could not handle the brilliant death over bowled by Arshdeep Singh.
