Gujarat Titans will host Sunrisers Hyderabad for Match 62 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
Gujarat Titans have an opportunity to come back to winning ways after they hit a road bump against a dangerous looking Mumbai Indians in the last game. They also lost an opportunity to further their lead as table toppers.
Gujarat Titans would also not want to lose another match in a row which can seriously shake their position at the top of the table.
Sunrisers Hyderabad are currently are in 9th position after their loss against Lucknow Super Giants in their last game. With three games to go Sunrisers surprisingly can still have 14 points if they win all games and can have a chance to make the playoffs if other matches go their way.
In all likelihood the above looks an impossible task as they have to play Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians in their final three matches.
While Gujarat Titans has already qualified in the top 4, they will want to maintain their top 1st or 2nd position which is now under threat from Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. A win will confirm Gujarat to be in the top 2 and have two chances to the finals.
In their last game, Gujarat Titans after winning the all-important toss send Mumbai Indians to bat first. Suryakumar Yadav gave the Mumbai Indians fan a night to remember in their last home game and hit a magnificent maiden IPL century.
The defending champions however showed lot of fight and Rashid Khan proved that he was not only a world class T20 bowler, he was also a useful late order bat. He too hit his highest IPL score.
Sunrisers Hyderabad from a winning position lost their last game against Lucknow Super Giants after a 13 ball 44 runs late order hitting from Nicholas Pooran who single handedly changed the course of the match.
With the Impact substitute player, no score is defendable and teams who have successfully defended totals are teams which probably will make it to the top 4 place in the playoffs

This is the first time these two teams are meeting being in different groups and Sunrisers will be wary of a proud Gujarat Titans who would be hurt from their last game loss.
