Royal Challengers Bangalore also comes into this match after a loss against Delhi Capitals. Royal Challengers Bangalore has been lucky to have their captain in prime form and they over rely on Virat Kohli and Glen Maxwell.

Royal Challengers Bangalore will need to have a repeat performance from Mahipal Lomror to reduce the overdependence on their top 3. His 54 off 29 balls gave the much-needed boast to the run rate after a sedate Virat Kohli innings.

Only Faf Duplessis have been consistent with a healthy strike rate. Virat Kohli has been among runs but he has been poor with his strike rate of 135 for a batsman of his calibre. This slow scoring has hurt the Royal Challengers badly and put that additional burden on the middle and lower middle order. T20 now has no place for stat padding.

Mumbai Indians will want to come back to winning ways and will be pumped up against the Royal Challengers after their first leg loss
