Mumbai Indians just scraped past Delhi to post their first win in the competition. While Mumbai Indians batting did most things right during the chase, they need to worry when wickets fall in heaps. Mumbai Indian’s biggest worry is the form of Suryakumar Yadav, who unfortunately went out for a golden duck caught in deep fine leg when he attempted a pickup shot of his first delivery. Jofra Archer a Liability – Mumbai Indians need to seriously look beyond Archer and Bumrah. Jofra Archer, after the first game has missed the next two. For a franchise who locked 8 cr in auction for an unfit player knowing well he will not be available for the current year was a brave move then. Now after the one year wait, if the player cannot give his franchise 14 games, he becomes a liability of sorts. Mumbai Indians should pack Archer back home and take a replacement allrounder /bowler who is fit and available for selection for all games.

Mumbai Indians during their winning days all those years, took such bold decisions of dropping players without caring for reputation. Such bold decisions are not seen now from the franchise. In a professional franchise sport being soft or emotional will not help win trophies.

Making Pollard a batting coach is more of an emotional decision and not a tactical one.

After the thrilling win against the Gujarat Titans, Kolkata Knight Riders lost the next game against Sun Risers in a hard-fought battle. The game saw a swashbuckling innings from Captain Nitish Rana and the current star of the KKR, Rinku Singh. With his Current form Rinku Singh can do more damage if he can be promoted 1 or 2 places above in the batting line-up. Dre Russ have started to bowl again which is an excellent news for the Kolkata Knight Riders. The Spinners will play a big role in Wankhede as the spinners will get bounce from the pitch.
